Priestly Vestments

Exodus 28 provides detailed instructions from God to Moses about the garments for Aaron, the high priest, and his sons. These include the ephod, breastpiece, robe, tunic, turban, and sash, with specifics on materials (gold, blue, purple, scarlet yarn, and fine linen), design, and symbolic elements like the twelve gemstones representing the tribes of Israel.

Exodus 39 describes the actual making of these garments by the craftsmen, particularly Bezalel, following the instructions given in Exodus 28. It confirms the completion of the priestly vestments according to God’s command.

Since the Church is the True Israel of God, it should be no surprise that the same practices were carried forward from the shadow to the substance.
