The Christian faith is God&#8217;s self-revelation to mankind. There is nothing deficient in that revelation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What is Christian Apologetics?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apologetics comes from the Greek word;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>apologia<\/strong>, <em>ap-ol-og-ee&#8217;-ah<\/em>; a plea (&#8220;apology&#8221;):&#8211;answer (for self), clearing of self, defence.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The word is used frequently in the New Testament to describe Paul&#8217;s defense of his calling. For instance:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Acts 22:1  Men, brethren, and fathers, hear ye my <strong>defence<\/strong> which I make now unto you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 Cor 9:3  Mine <strong>answer<\/strong> to them that do examine me is this,<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>In other passages, the word is used in the context of defending the Christian faith in general:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Phil 1:17  But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the <strong>defence<\/strong> of the gospel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 Peter 3:15 &#8211; but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a <strong>defense<\/strong> to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What isn&#8217;t Christian Apologetics?
