Amphilochius, Bishop of Iconium, Gregory, Bishop of Agrigentum, Dionysios, Patriarch of Constantinople, Ischyrion, Bishop of Egypt, Afterfeast of the Entry of the Theotokos into the Temple, Sisinios the Confessor <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Amphilochius, Bishop of Iconium<\/span><\/h2>\n

He lived about 340-394 AD. His biography can be found here<\/a>. He is important for his presentation of Christ as having “two natures in one person”. He was not an innovator in terms of substance, but used philosophical terms in a unique way that added to the ability to the Church to communicate the person of Christ.<\/p>\n

Gregory, Bishop of Agrigentum<\/span><\/h2>\n

He died circa 590 AD. <\/span>His biography can be found here<\/a>. He participated in the fifth Ecumenical Council. He spoke against the Monothelite heresy. Miracles of healing are attributed to him. He was charged with being with a prostitute which was proven later to be false charge but only shown to be so after many trials including prison.<\/p>\n

Dionysios, Patriarch of Constantinople<\/span><\/h2>\n

Dionysius I (Greek: \u0394\u03b9\u03bf\u03bd\u03cd\u03c3\u03b9\u03bf\u03c2; died 1492) was Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople two times, from 1466 to 1471 and from 1488 to 1490. He was a pupil of Mark<\/a>, Archbishop<\/a> of Ephesus<\/a>, who ordained him as priest<\/a>.<\/p>\n
